A personal AI assistant that belongs to you
A personal AI assistant is a conversational tool you use for your own tasks: planning, drafting, explaining and deciding. ChatOTL provides that in a workspace only your account can read, with multiple models and file uploads.
Personal assistants in the AI sense are not schedulers. They're thinking partners: you bring a half-formed problem and leave with a structure.
That works best when you can be candid, which is why ChatOTL keeps personal threads out of any shared account.
Everyday jobs it handles
- Turning a messy situation into a list of options with trade-offs.
- Drafting the awkward email you've been avoiding.
- Explaining a document — a lease, a policy, a bill — in plain language.
- Planning a project, a trip or a study schedule and revising it as things change.
Keep separate parts of life separate
Threads are cheap. Run one per topic, branch when a conversation splits, and search your history when you need the thing you worked out last month.
What it won't do
- It does not read your email, calendar or messages.
- It does not book anything or take actions in other apps.
- It does not browse the web for current information.
Frequently asked questions
Can it manage my calendar or inbox?
No. ChatOTL is a conversation workspace, not an automation layer over your accounts. If you want an agent client to reach your ChatOTL threads, connect it over MCP.
Is it suitable for sensitive personal topics?
Your threads are scoped to your account. Bear in mind that hosted model providers process the messages you send; use a self-hosted endpoint if that's a concern.
How is this different from a work assistant?
Same tool, different threads. Many people keep personal and professional conversations in separate threads for context hygiene.
Will it remember my preferences?
Within a thread, yes — the whole history is context. Across threads, tell it what it needs to know, or keep a reference thread you copy from.
